Happiest man in Britain

Browsing through my webstat application this evening, and found this:

Happiest man in Britain

My site ranks 9th on google for that phrase. Maybe the searcher would have found what they were looking for if they had tried the happiest man in the UK, or Great Britain or whatever. More gems from the recent search phrases include "How do I Kill myself", "Japans number one design agency", and a whole gaggle of people looking for "Teen lesbians" sorry folks, none of that stuff here.

UK, GB, England

UK, no, well what then?

Why is is that whenever I sign-up for anything online, and I mean, anything, I have to guess under what term this great nation of ours will be referenced. You know what, I don't mind what you call it, can't you just all get together and decide to call it the same damn thing. It's irritating, time consuming and infuriating, so much so, that I had to waste another ten minutes whining about it. That times gone, I'm never getting those ten minutes back, whose fault is that?

Sigur Ros - WOW

Sigur Ros

Last night was the sigur ros gig in Liverpool. I managed to get a ticket, and proceeded to see what was quite possibly the best gig I've ever seen. Running a music website, I used to go to a fair few gigs, and man, did I see some great shows, but last night, there saw just something special about sigur ros live...

Giving up smoking is easy

£5.09 please. Piss right off

From the age of fifteen I have been a smoker. once I left school and started earning money, I smoked a lot of fags. Anything up-to 30 a day for five years. When I was in Japan over the summer, the absolute number one revelation was the price of smokes. For 230¥ (£1.20) you can get 20 fags, granted, the best you can usually find in a vending machine are John Player specials, but still, after a fourteen hour flight, a smokes a smoke right! ...

Sigur Ros, a plea

Heres the thing, in 9 days time, Sigur Ros who I adore, are playing in Liverpool. Being a bit slow, I neglected to go and buy tickets until the point when they had long sold out. The real agony is, not only are they playing in Liverpool, they are playing literally 200 yards from where I live (see fig.1), it would be a travesty for me to not be in there enjoying it.

So, I'm just going to come right out with it. Get me into that gig, and I will be indebted to you forever, I will send you hand made Christmas cards, roses, chocolate, whatever, just get me into the Philharmonic Hall on the 13th, and make me the happiest man on Merseyside.

If my painfully lame begging doesn't yield satisfactory results, I'm going to go stand outside the theatre all night looking sad, in the hope that someone will take pity on me. Those of you who don't know Sigur Ros, go buy an album, they are amazing.
