Nick Griffin is a moron

Last night, having stayed up to see through the bulk of the local election coverage on the BBC, I was left stunned, outraged and aghast at the absolute tripe being spouted by the frankly evil leader of the BNP, Nick Griffin. David Dimbleby asking the questions:
DD: You say on your website that you want to replace all school meals with a single choice for all children, why is that?
NG: Because of the problems of bulimia and anorexia, and because of the poor standards of food being served, young girls are dying because of the stuff they are given at school.
DD: What about vegetarians and halal eaters?
NG: Of course we would provide a vegetarian option, but as far as halal goes, there would be no halal eaters because they'd all be deported, we think it's barbaric.
Have you ever heard anything so incredible? Perhaps I should not be suprised, this is after-all, a man who has been imprisoned for inciting racial hatred, and who now preys on the countries most divided communities, playing races and ethnicities off against each other.
The three major parties must now come together and once and for all unveil the BNP for the disgrace that it is, I'm sure if those people in Barking (11 seats to the BNP) who voted for them had read their website, they would have cast a different vote.
The BBC did a stellar job with the coverage, until around 3am when a large part of westminster was plunged into darkness, and we had 30 minutes of international news whilst everyone banded around conspiracy theories. Also of note was the tendancy of labour politicians to lose the sound to the studio whenever a probing question was asked, hmmm.
One more interesting note from last nights coverage is that the BBC political correspondent, Nick Robinson live blogged the whole affair, and through the down-time kept the updates coming on his blog. Unluckily, having been up all night, Nick will not have been too pleased to hear of Charles Clarkes sacking this morning, the prospect of getting some sleep will have to wait.
