A quick update
Tuesday, April 18th, 2006
Just a quick note to introduce the new widget gallery I’m working on, choose widgets from the top menu and behold the messy, invalid mess that currently exists. It’s a shambles at the minute, but I’m working on it as we speak, and just trying to figure out placement and layout at this point. You […]
Brand New: Bite Size Standards
Saturday, April 15th, 2006
Bite Size Standards is the work of a group of people who I respect immensely, people who are all really good at what they do, and have proven so in coming through with a really good site. Bite Size standards is just the sort of thing I could have done with when I was educating […]
36 Degrees widget V2
Wednesday, January 18th, 2006
Since the site has been overhauled, I thought it time to take another look at the dashboard widget I had created a while back for the RSS feed here at the site. The first widget was a clumsy, graphically poor effort from someone looking at widgets from the inside for the first time. This time […]
Happiest man in Britain
Thursday, December 1st, 2005
Browsing through my webstat application this evening, and found this:
My site ranks 9th on google for that phrase. Maybe the searcher would have found what they were looking for if they had tried the happiest man in the UK, or Great Britain or whatever. More gems from the recent search phrases include “How do I […]
UK, Great Britain, England

Why is is that whenever I sign-up for anything online, and I mean, anything, I have to guess under what term this great nation of ours will be referenced. You know what, I don’t mind what you call it, can’t you just all get together and decide to call it the same damn thing. It’s […]
Inquisitor 2
Tuesday, October 18th, 2005
Remember a couple of months ago I posted about Inquisitor by David Watanabe? Well today he released version 2 of the browser based instant search assistant. It is now ‘donation-ware’, meaning the developer is asking for a payment as large or as small as you like before you can get a download. It’s a great […]
If only Coventry City were as good as Skype
Saturday, October 15th, 2005
Since moving to Liverpool, thankfully, some might say, It has been increasingly difficult to see as many Coventry city games as I would like. Ok, no problem, the BBC has all the local radio stations online. Wrong, come match day the BBC cuts off local radio. The Reason? It doesn’t have the rights to […]
I’ve Joined the club
Wednesday, August 10th, 2005
Yes! finally, some scumbag has decided I’m worthy of being ripped off. I sound happy don’t I. I’m not, I’m incredibly pissed off. I spend god knows how long making something which I think is a fine piece of work, and some scumbag goes and copies it. and they didnt even copy it well, or […]
Truck Festival 2005
Sunday, July 24th, 2005
So this weekend was the culmination of a lot of hard work for a lot of people, the annual Truck Festival descended on the sleepy Oxfordshire village of Steventon. My role in the whole thing was the website, which was just one small cog in a huge machine of people who have put an unbelievable […]
Striking A Balance

Being a web designer with a blog is a strange combination. I cant think of many other areas of business where one would sell his wares, and bitch, whine and natter about all and sundry in the same place - to the same people. But thousands of us do it, some who designed, designed, designed, […]

How about some photos, links or a feed
Welcome to 36 Degrees Design. This website is the personal portfolio and journal of Stuart Frisby, a web designer in Liverpool, England. I create websites using the latest in web standards, and can offer you a personal service, as well as over five years of professional experience in the web design industry.
I am currently studying at John Moores University in Liverpool for a degree in International Business Studies & Japanese. I sing, play the guitar (poorly), I am a Coventry City fan, and despite that, I enjoy football, and most other sports from the comfort of an armchair.
My favourite band are Radiohead, my favourite author is H. Murakami, my favourite film is Fargo and my favourite colour is, well, blue, actually.
There is a chance that you don’t want a website at all, and that being the case, you may like to take a browse through my blog, or delve into the music section where you can download some of my material. feel free to have a good nose, and do give me a shout via the contact section if you have something on your mind.
