Exciting Times
written by Stuart on May 11th, 2006
This past week has been mental, theres so much I have been meaning to blog, but I've hardly had time to eat for the last few days, let alone spout my usual rubbish here. A couple of weeks ago one of my widgets was featured on TUAW and this week, my SVN jobs widget was featured on 37signals blog.
This has meant a lot more traffic, a lot of emails, and over 1500 downloads of my 'hard at work' widget. I have a couple of exciting projects on the horizon, and at least one awesome freelance job on the table. I have also taken the decision to set-up a side business specialising in widget development for OS X. It is something which I think has the potential to be successful, and is an area where I feel there is much innovation to be done, and widgets to be made. I'll be keeping you up to date with the development of that as it is made, but it obviously takes a back seat at the moment to client work. Having said that, if you do need a widget, drop me an email and we'll talk.
In addition to all that, and the other - super secret amazing - project I'm working on, I've finally finished lectures for this academic year, and have until September off University. It's been a good year, my Japanese has undoubtedly improved, and I'm really looking forward to Christmas when I will be spending a week or two with a couple of good friends in Kanazawa.

Bloody students!
Jealousy is a terrible thing Rutty! besides, it’s not like I’m going to spend four months sunbathing (least of all because I live in Livepool)!
Life is good!
Suppose you’ll be too busy to attend the geekup next week huh?
‘fraid not, I’ll get over for one again at some point though.
How about some widgets for Yahoo Widgets, previously known as Konfabulator?
I honestly wouldn’t know where to start, I briefly used konfabulator a while back, but I’m not sure of it’s development side of things, I’ll take a look at some point.
