More world cup wallpaper

written by Stuart on June 9th, 2006

Theres a great group at flickr of folks who are designing alternative logos for the world cup (T minus 6hrs!). A guy called Christian uploaded a very nice logo, which he graciously allowed me to turn into a couple of wallpapers. Christian, Who is Austrian tells me that he is backing England to become 'weltmeister' in this years competition. I hope he is right. Again, only available in 1680×1050, but will look fine at smaller sizes too. Download after the break…

The first, as usual, has something of an English leaning:

The second, lacks the cross of Saint George:

Best of luck to your team, unless your playing England, in which case I wish you no luck at all. Just for the record, I'm backing Steven Gerrard to set the competition alight, and Peter Crouch to dance us through the group stages with ease.
