  I fly to Japan tomorrow, and will probably not be around online for a few days, or much at all for the next few months at least. My UK mobile phone number no longer exists, and I won't have a new cellphone for a couple of weeks until I've sorted out all of my gaijin identification stuff. My luggage is currently about 8KGs overweight, thanks solely to wanting to take my guitar with me, and of course needing to place it in a big ass heavy case to keep it safe during the flight.   I want to improve my diction. I feel as if I have plateaued in terms of the growth in my vocabulary, and my brain is probably feeling neglected in terms of new morsels of the English language to chew on. So I thought I'd start logging words I'd like to make greater use of.   I thought I'd have a bash at recording a cover of Paolo Nutini's beautiful song 'These Streets'. If I remember rightly the original version of this song was released as a free download sometime last year, and went on to be the title track from his Debut Album which did very well in the UK album charts.   Summer in the City

  It's been a weird few months, this period of time when everything I do, every decision I make is made with the knowledge that I'm going to be leaving the country for a year. Take my time at CCFC. It's been really good, and has opened up doors which were previously nailed shut, and I've met at least one person who has had a profound impact on me.   My name is Stuart Frisby, and in 11 days I will leave my parents home in Coventry, England and embark on a journey which has been in the offing for years, but whose arrival never seemed probable until a couple of weeks ago.   My humble but loyal readership have I'm sure noticed that the much delayed redesign has been, well, much delayed. The truth is that I've been having on-going bouts with two deadly enemies. Wordpress, and time. Wordpress refuses to be flexible enough with it's templating system for my fairly modest needs, and time is equally unwilling to cut me a little slack.
